I just wanted to take the time to say congratulations to the models that were picked for the AAO show. Melissa and Ashley will look amazing in their ballroom gowns. These models have tons of personality and are perfect for this event. The AAO is a trade show that will be taking place at McCormick Place early this fall. We will post pictures as soon as we can!

Just a few days away from the Fiesta del Sol event in Chicago. We are booking 8 “Angels” for this promotion and we couldn’t be more excited. This will be an amazing event… it’s outside, we have a great team of models, and it’s promoting a very popular brand. This event starts Saturday morning and we are ready for it! Pink Avenue Models is teaming up with a new client for the Fiesta del Sol festival 2010. This event will take place in Chicago July 29-August 1 and is the 38th annual. Fiesta del Sol is an annual fundraising event organized by the PNCC. This started off as a small block party and is now a nationally publicized event. The difference between this festival and other festivals is that it is alcohol and tobacco free.
Some of the sponsors for this year’s event are Alivio Medical Center, Hoy, State Farm, Monster, Sunny D, 103.5 Kiss FM, Axe, Dove and so many more. This fest is going to full of great food and awesome entertainment. If you are in Chicago make sure you attend!

For the past 11 days Pink Avenue Models worked closely with one of our favorite clients promoting a new fragrance by DKNY. This event took place in 4 different malls across the country. We staffed models in Los Angeles, Houston, DC, and New York. Our models worked long hours and a lot of days and we are so grateful and appreciate their hard work. The models were there to educate consumers about the new fragrance and encourage them to buy the product. We had almost 40 models working the last 11 days so thanks to all of you!

July has been one crazy busy month for Pink Avenue Models. We have booked tons of nationwide events and are working on staffing trade shows for October and November already. We just started casting for the IASB/IASA/IASBO today. This is a joint annual conference that will be at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago. The dates for this conference are November 19-21. There will be over 5,000 Illinois school board members and administrators and of course some of our models.

We have been getting a lot of models asking the same questions lately…why doesn’t the client ever select me, and what can I change to increase my chances. I have the same answer for everyone, every client wants different things. Some of our clients ask for blondes, some ask for tall models, some ask for all american, and some ask for diverse. The client has an image in mind and we try and fill their request. Another thing is that sometimes we submit up to 100 interested models to a client and the client only needs a couple. Pink Avenue Models never gets to select the models for an event, only the client does that.
Models will never get picked for every event that they are available for. To increase your chances make sure the modeling agencies have updated pictures and resume. Don’t give up either, you will be booked eventually. There is a client waiting for you!

Yesterday Pink Avenue Models was contacted for a charity event in Chicago. This is going to be one of my favorite events because of what the charity is and the whole set up. Our client has requested 10-15 of our best Chicago models to work their event on the beach! Our models will take pictures, hand out prizes, give out tote bags, all while dancing with the band and looking amazing. This event is going to be a lot of fun and it for a great cause. Pictures will definitely be posted from this party.

Chicago doesn’t have many trade shows coming up next month and neither does New York. Here is a small list of trade shows coming to the Javits Center next month.

I was a little behind on blogging last week. It was a holiday week and we are working on a huge event! This event came up last minute and has been a ton of work. We got a call last week for an 11 day promotion in 4 cities for a popular fragrance brand. Pink Avenue Models will be staffing models in Los Angeles, New York, Houston, and DC starting Friday July 9th and going all the way until July 19th. Our models will be engaging consumers, handing out giveaways and encouraging potential buyers to try the new scent. It’s been a lot of work so far but we are excited for this event to start. We will be posting updates throughout the next 2 weeks so stay tuned!
